Hi Gene – thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment, it’s much appreciated and I’m glad you enjoyed my blog. Hope that shoveling got done, trust me I feel your pain. Just so you don’t waste too much shoveling or fishing time scouring your atlases, the Black River is a pseudonym for a famous steelhead river in northern Wisconsin. If you are in these parts someday, I’d be happy to provide you with its real name.

We are currently buried in a snow storm in southwestern ON. I procastinating beautifully inregards to my looming shovelling duties…
I have stumbled across your Blog and I really enjoy it.
I hope you don’t mind me checking in.
I would love to fish the Black River one of these days. I will to put that one on my list.

Thanks for the comments, guys. It did feel good to be fishing in November, if only because it would narrow the window between last fishing of the autumn and first of the spring.

Eric – Ice fishing already? Wow, awesome. I did hear it’s gotten right cold up there. Look forward to reading about it.

Hey Greg – I really enjoyed this. Sneaking in one last trip before the snow flies is always satisfying whether the fish are cooperative or not.

I’m actually planning an ice fishing trip to the Echo Trail next weekend. Astrid Lake? Big Lake? Big Moose Lake? Shell Lake?? Bah!

Anyway, great post with really nice photos. Take care.

Just in time. The snows are a’ fallin’ and it’ll only be a matter of time before there are lots of bridges across the creek – - ones made of snow and ice.
