A Diversion: Support America’s National Parks

November 27, 2006

I promise that a cool thing or two is in the pipeline (and yes, the next installment of “The Cliffs of Kekekabic” is imminent). Stay tuned. In the meantime, please take a minute to urge Secretary of the Interior Dick Kempthorne to Fix Our Parks by their 100th birthday in 10 years.

America’s national parks are in crisis–underfunding, traffic and pollution are all taking their toll. But NPCA has launched a major call to fix these problems before the National Park System’s 100th birthday in ten years.

Also, don’t forget to look in the sidebar for the “recent reads” section for some suggestions of cool blog posts, newspaper articles and other good stuff from around the Web that I found enjoyable. Heck, there’s even a great Calvin and Hobbes in there today.

Thanks for the Calvin and Hobbes alert! I signed up for their daily service; I can never get enough Calvin and Hobbes. Do you see a correlation…my oldest son’s pseudonym on my blog is Calvin…
