After attending some meetings in Connecticut last week, I spent a few days hanging out with my brother in the East Village. I’ve always loved New York and I’ve got a few more thoughts about that place, the people and other stuff that may or may not appear here in the days to come.

that’s a good story, dave. i can’t see that happening in st. paul! nice photos, bum. not what i was expecting, though i didn’t know what to expect because i’ve only been to NY once. people just living and going about their daily business, all the while they’re in NY. it has a kind of mythical feeling to us midwesterners, doesn’t it?

Love all the pictures, dharma bum, but I especially like the golden coffee shop shot. Something about it captures the energy of the place. I’m also excited and inspired by your McDonald’s Kids series.
Hey Bum,
I grew up between woodstock and nyc. We would cut class in high school and then go one place or the other. So many different things in the city. I remember staying with a friend on 8th street and looking out the window in the morning. There is this 55 yr old blonde standing in the street naked except for a white fur coat. just standing there puking her guts out. On the other hand there is the stunning gates exhibit that happened last year.
