Gosh that was a nice day! Cloudy, though. Thanks!

Nice photos, although the last thing I want to look at on a beautiful sunny day like today is more clouds! It’s good to see that our parks are starting to incorporate renewable energy.

  3. Yeah, kind of depressing aren’t they? The juxtaposition of the solar energy photos with the gray skies is kind of funny. It felt good just to get out of the house.

We thought the solar panel, etc. was pretty cool, too. Interesting that the location of the well (the top of a major ridge) makes the water table a long ways away (280+ feet) but is a perfect location for the solar panels. Also interesting that it cost approx. $8000 for the solar setup, where it would have cost approx. $18,000 to run wires out there.

That tree in the last picture is huge.

loved your little experiment with video on “Spider Isle.” Enjoyed, very much, your photos. And your quotes on wilderness — exquisite. I live in California, in a very beautiful spot, and enjoy taking photos of our lovely environs. Stop by and say ‘hey.’ But don’t go seeing a man about a horse….got enough dogs in the neighborhood a’doin’ that already!

  6. lene – remarkable grasp of the obvious! :D yes, that tree was friggin’ huge! the photo doesn’t do it justice.

taradharma – thanks for stopping by and commenting. glad you enjoy my blog, i’ll take a look at yours sometime in the near future.

    cheers.
