That is indeed a Mitchell paddle in the foreground… Wood shaft and carbon fiber blade. It’s my friend Canoeman’s and I think he’s pretty fond of it. He took it on a six week whitewater trip in the Arctic (with a spare or two of course) and it served him well there.

Looks very much like my neighborhood except it’s bigger water than around here. Just curious if that’s one of those super-cool Mitchell paddles in the foreground. I know someone who loves his, and it’s beautiful.
