We still have two weeks of playoffs to come! Lene, I think I know what you're saying about the value of a friends-base like that. 'Base' is the only word, because I've known most of those people through so many different stages of our lives, that they really feel like the foundation of my life in a lot of ways. As much as I sometimes want to move elsewhere, roam around a bit, I wonder how well I'd do without those people, who put up with me, who know my idiosyncracies, tolerate me when I'm flakey, etc. That kind of support that comes from people you've known for a while. That floatilla sure does sound nice, sorry you couldn't make it out there. Around here at least, time on a boat is a premium right now. I'd wish you luck in developing a bunch of friends like mine, but I wouldn't wish anybody the trauma that comes with seeing those guys play kickball in Speedos. :) Happy August! I'm looking forward to having a group of buddies who can do just about anything together too. That's definitely a benefit of staying in one place for a good part of one's life. I've heard you have to survive 3 Vermont winters before you "get in." I've got 2 1/2 down -- getting closer to friends in speedos and kick-ball. :) I was invited to a sailing flotilla on Lake Champlain tomorrow, which I'm not going to be able to make. Sounds like they're going to be b-b-q'ing ribs on the rigs while all roped together on the water. Cracks me up just thinking about it. Keep having fun for all of us! Big smiles!
