Summer? Summer is good.

I’m outta here tomorrow morning for a weekend at the Green Man Festival overlooking the beautiful port city of Duluth. We went last year and had an awesome (yes, awesome) time camping, listening to music, watching mountain biking, and partying with friends. It’s a low-key festival with only a few thousand attendees, a diverse lineup of music (from blues to bluegrass), and it’s super eco-friendly to boot.

Have a great July weekend everybody, whatever that means in your part of the world.

Have a good time! If you want a really scenic drive on the way up there, with very little traffic, take Highway 23 at the Askov/Finlayson exit. That will take you through my neck of the woods.

My husband and I thought about going, but festivals are a bit more difficult with kids. Maybe we’ll hit the Two Harbors Folk Festival next weekend.

Hope you have a good time! When I first read “Green Man,” I thought of this radical festival that some of my neighbors used to go to when I lived in Santa Cruz, called Burning Man. I’ll post the link just so you can see what other kind of “Man” festivals are going on. :) http://www.burningman.com/

We had a great time. Deb, thanks for the route suggestion. We took Hwy 23 on our way home yesterday and it was great. NO traffic, beautiful country, very much more relaxing than Sunday traffic going south on I-35.

Lene, I’ve heard of Burning Man and just checked out the site a bit. I’ve never thought it was probably my scene exactly, but this weekend I was actually thinking about it and thought it’d be fun to go to as an observer. I’m sure it’s quite a spectacle.
