Did you have fun? A little cold, eh? It looks like we were in the same park Saturday. We could have met without even knowing it.
wild. were you staying at that park? we were camped in the ‘a’ loop.
funkiest weather ever. the streams seemed to get enough pressure to last ‘em a whole season, too. still, a nice weeekend. you do any good?
I camped at a friend’s house in Spring Valley. Friday afternoon there was a good caddis hatch every time the sun came out. I caught three browns and a rainbow from the same pool in just a few minutes. After that my partner dragged me away to some chub water but I probably managed about a dozen total. Saturday I only fished for about an hour and it was slow. Sunday was an easy day to go home without regrets.
Did you see all of those kids in the park? The DNR did an electrofishing presentation in one of the tribs. It was cool. After that the kids descended on the creek with little fiendish smiles. When the troop walked past the DNR guy said, “Well, I don’t recommend you to fish this creek anymore today.”
