what more can i say? those numbers above counting away the seconds to one of the most important days known to human beings. i can tell you, i wasn’t this excited to be born. i will probably be more excited the day my first child is born. and i doubt i will be more scared as i prepare for death.
most people don’t like seeing marriage equated with death in any way. aside from the fact that i was simply referring to what are thought of as the major life milestones of modern human civilization, i won’t deny being scared. after some years, sharing life with Her will seem the only natural way to exist, but right now i’m dealing with the idea of forgoing the independence i have known for the past 24 years (and specifically, the span of time between may 3, 1998 and this day)… to be replaced by inter-dependence. by being one-half of something tangible. and legal.
